Happy Sunday, folks. I’m going to try something here and hope I stick to it – a weekly gathering of articles and links that have been of interest to me, and maybe you’ll get something out of them too. Its a short list today, but my intent is more of a ‘week in review’ thing, so it might just explode next week. Off we go…

— With not one mention of the controversial ad that supposedly got him in hot water with Montreal Canadiens’ management, Big George Laraque blames coach Jacques Martin for his dismissal from the hockey club.

Frank Seravelli of Philadelphia Daily News explains why the Flyers’ Dan Carcillo epitomizes the playoffs.

— There’s a new online sports talk show coming – The D League: “The newest & best sports talk show to hit the internet launches on July 28th with Patrick & Jack. Details to come! In the meantime…let the discussion begin!” Follow them on twitter now…there’s a contest going on you might be interested in.

— Long time Tampa Bay Lightning blogger Jon Jordan recently launched his own site, where it appears he will be sharing his thoughts on various other subjects in the ‘Millerian rant’ style. Be warned, though – like Steve Martin once said, “Comedy is not pretty.” πŸ˜‰

— For you hockey nuts out there, do check out Shmitzy Says, a Canadiens’ fan who is probably up to his ass in “WTF?” right about now (sorry Scott, I had to πŸ™‚ ).

Enjoy what’s left of your weekend, kids.
